Well, it finally happened... Riding along over the weekend and "bang!" The track locked up. Upon inspection found the W arm at the front of the rear skid broke at six places. One of the pieces managed to rip my 1 year old Ice Ripper track rendering it junk. I am looking for some good advice out there. Would you:
1. replace the w arm, new track and get her back on the trail?
2. upgrade the suspension on her, new track and keep going?
3. Other thoughts??

If you replace the W arm and reinstall the OEM suspesion, you need to reinforce the W arm. The W arm is poorly designed and poorly constructed. I have repaired and reinforced the W arms on all 4 of my Yamaha sleds. Each one was cracked in at least one place. Afetr reinforcing them and putting thousands of miles on them, they are still fine.

Thanks for all your words of wisdom and PM's. I have decided to buy a used skid and track. I don't think the sled is worth putting too much money into at this point.
