I have to order a 68 link chain for some re-gearing I did and was wondering about something. I had a guy tell me I needed to tell the dealer 3 times and make sure they understood that I needed the "HYVO" chain for the '03 model. Is this right? Everywhere I look I don't see anything about this. Can someone tell me the part number of the proper 68 link chain for a '03 mountain w/ reverse? Thanks....I'm a little confused by this HYVO thing.

Also.....on a different note, 4 of us went out today in about 15" of new powder and the sled just absolutely rocked! The clutching, the gearing, the new M7 skid, everything is absolutely awesome. I love it! The guys I ride with have all three brands (Polaris RMK 700, AC M7, and Summit 800) and took mine for a spin and were totally impressed with the power and the way it handled. I thought that was pretty cool. The M7 guy even said "that things pretty intimidating all the way through"! They all really liked it. Anyways....sorry to ramble on, just excited!

Aaron

P.S. Still had skid vibration. Am getting anti-stab wheels for sure!

3/4 HY-VO® YAMAHA (68L) Part Number 94890-09068-00

Common Names: Inverted tooth, Silent Chain, HY-VO®

HY-VO® Chain is a unique type of Silent Chain. HY-VO® stands for High Capacity, High Velocity, and Involute Tooth, and it is a registered trademark of Borg-Warner Automotive, Inc.

In Silent Chain, the pin and the plate rotate against each other. In HY-VO® Chains, the pin is comprised of two pieces that have rotational contact. Due to the rotational contact of the pins, the wear life of the chain is increased. Also in HY-VO® Chains, the contact point between the pins moves up when the chain engages the sprocket. This construction decreases chordal action (which was discussed in Basics Section 2.2.1), vibration, and noise.
