For 19 40 gearing can I use a 70 link or do I need a 68 link chain?

Yamaha's Technical Update agrees to that. 68 link for 19/40.

formula to calculate chain:::
cdx2)/.375+(ts+bs)/2=pitch cd=center distance drive shaft to jackshaft (7in on rx1) ts= top sprocket bs= bottom sprocket. round number up to even number for proper pitch.
