Here are 4 parts needed for old windshields fit..

These 4 parts will let you use all your old shorty and tall windshields from the previous years on your 11'-12' Apex's.
Zoom the pics in and you can see the part numbers. I got them all for $135.00 online from partforyamaha.com
The shipping was $17.50 , but I searched google and found an online coupon code that took $6.18 off of that. So total was 134.95

What does a new short or tall windshield for an '11 or '12 Apex cost?

I just got one off of ebay new OEM for $85 free ship, but they are listed for over $100 something in the microfiche.

I must be missing something here. Why would you pay $135 for parts that are required to be able to re-use an old windshield when you can buy a new windshield that fits properly without requiring additional parts for less money?

There is only 1 windshield available at the moment for the 11'-12' apex. That is the stock one that comes on it. Nothing else will fit.

If you want to change so you can use all the different sizes and colors available for the old apex's you must change the mounting hardware.

OK, that makes sense. It is hard to understand why Yamaha only makes one windshield for the '11 & '12 Apex. How about the aftermarket? Does Cobra or anyone else make anything?

I guess that by the time I can afford a newer Apex hopefully there will be more windshield choices. LOL!

In my younger days before I started to care about practical things like warmth, we used to cut them down. It's pretty easy to do.

Yes... You just order the parts the 11-12' uses and they fit on the older sleds to let you use the new windshield.

I might sell my parts from the 11-12'.
