Hi Everyone,
I Looking to add a slip on silencer to my 12 XTX. I am not to worried about hp numbers but want a lighter nice sounding silencer. I don't want it to be to load but want a sport bike type of sound. I have been looking at the Hindle slip on as well as the Aaen slip on. Has anyone used ether of these silencers or have other suggestions.

Hindle has a deeper tone and will be quieter . If you have heard a Nytro with a super Q pipe , the Hindle is quieter then that. I have not heard a Aaen pipe but read they have a good bark to them.

I have the full Hindle system and the wife's sled has the super Q pipe.

My Buddy has a full hindle system on his nytro and I love the sound of it. Its not loud but has a nice growl to it.

Aaen

I have a Aaen megapower silincer. It sounds very mean and sporty! But to be honest it is loud but I get complimants on it everytime I ride.

I would be willing to let it go for very cheap. I want something queit like an ultra Q, I realized when riding I like it quiet so I can hear others comming

Don't do it! Its only your buddies that get to hear how good your sled sounds, lol

My buddy is gonna leave his shed unlocked and Im gonna switch plastics, he will never know!

The Hindle slip on is a 16" muffler and the full header system uses a 20" muffler....the full system is drastically quieter than the slip on....so if you want a nicer sound but not too loud, you're better off buying a full system....I've run them both and prefer the 20" muffler, although the 16" slip on does sound horny! the 16" slip on with a DB reducer is comparable to an Excell muffler sound wise.

Hahaha now that's funny!

Have you thought about the Hauck Husher slip on, seems to be a good price and very close to you, probably 1 day UPS, I just try and by parts for anything I own as close to where I live as possible..has always been a rule of thumb for me..Following that rule has never done me wrong, but I have friends that have gotten some great deals from way far away and its bitten them in the #*$&@..

???????????

I buy my parts close to where I live, and I saw where he lives(it says in his avatar) its not like one persons system is making triple the hp than another..they are all with in a .5hp of each other..some proven some not..i had a buddy miss a ride cuz he go the wrong spring on a clutch kit..and I was in a jam once and ran 1.5miles to sportmann Yamaha, and scored some clutch buttons..so buy local if possible I think it helps..cool??

The ran the hauck on my nytro, nice fit and finish, and never any issues with the exhaust, I even had less snow buildup than the stock exhaust. Has a nice throaty sound without being obnoxious. But if your set on hindle or aaen, I would go hindle JMO.

I am not stuck on any one brand. I am open to anything as long as they are quality and has as wet sound. I am not to familiar with the haunch silencer. I thought I read something about quality issues?
