That pic is starting to be an urban legend. It circulated a few months ago with the supposed story that it was taken here in Manitoba.

I can tell ya what, on any given day when you drive into Hulbert Michigan in da U.P. you can see this on a regular basis. After owning a place in Trout lk and riding there for lunch every weekend, you really have to be carefull when driving into town, they are standing and walking right down the trail along side your sled. The local bar in town feed the deer all winter because they are so harsh up there. Of course this brings every deer within 80 miles into the area and kind of makes it a hazard to us sledders. I don't mind though, being a deer hunter I enjoy watching the deer when I am sitting there relaxing. Here is a link to the owners of the bar website.

Looks like what I saw coming over a hill leaving Guinn on my way home from a trip on year. Pulling 4 place with my buddies Tahoe, he was sleeping along with the two guys in the back. It was like bowling. Hit 5, killed 3. State cop had to pop one still squirming. She said she had never seen anyone take out 3 in one shot and that could be a start record...lol
As we were standing there waiting for the tow truck (blew out the trans cooler and radiator) a semi blasted another one. He never even slowed down...just kept on tolling. Wish I could have done the same but the Tahoe but it needed a radiator, trans cooler and a few band aids and wire to get the headlights back on it to drive it home. That was a train wreck....and all of us lost a day of work as we had to stay the night in Rapid River.
Personally...I think these animals are dumb as a box of rocks! They just stair at you as your ready to blow em over....

I'm a huge hunter & conservationist & i think this picture shows the irresponsible actions of people over-feeding these animals. We need to let nature & weather take a natural course. I love wathing them & feeding a few is OK, but this is disgusting. This many deer puts people at risk in cars & on sleds not to mention how they eat everything & wreck the echo system for other animals. SNOWDOG was lucky nobody got hurt as I know some who have. I have a deep respect for these animals & yes in winter they do YARD up, but this is humans being oblivious to the reality of what they actually did...

stupid people
you should not feed the deer..why ..simple..they start to eat cedar and buds so thier systems changes to eat that stuff....if you feed them you could kill them..when you stop feeding them ,they must ajust to eating cedar and buds again which usually takes time...thats why they go to what is called a yard.. lots of buds and cedar there...doing this is ok..if you intend to feed them all winter...corn is no good...unless you are going to do it all winter..then ok..also why....they eat 1 pound of buds on trees...so thier systems have a hard time to digesting the corn...and why do they feed them on the trails...I live in quebec and there is a place near pine hill...where treehuggers walk down the trails and drop food...when they feel like it...so they have trained them to walk down the trail and go to the food..makes it just a bit more exciting when riding at night,,lol,,
here we get alot of snow..so the animals must yard...we hunt them but no one here feeds them like in the states..we just kill them..so when you get a few tree huggers...being stupid...the deer suffer...just leave them alone...its like feeding birds..they stay all winter..only cause we feed them..they too must go somewhere for the winter... again i stress the fact that its quebec not the U S or canada..lol..we do not see them as a resourse...so feeding is not like tokeep the herd up...people do it cause they want to see them...dame treehuggers...not good...
hunt on 265 acers and have food plots of biologic...3 plots 2 acers each..
