Had a Vector in the shop on the track dyno this weekend with a home made turbo kit, pretty interesting. Front mount non-intercooled unit, not sure on the turbo he was using but 7 lbs of boost was 175-180 hp, kinda cool!

Very cool except for one thing........ the exhaust outlet. It's got to go down through the belly pan or out the back. How loud was it?

Nice! I always thought that was a good pace for a turbo...nice and low, and will also hold the front end down when climbing!

What's he running for clutches ?? They don't look like Yamaha.

The exhaust is as loud as a rear mount Bender system.
The clutches in the picture are a Polaris primary and Team secondary, we ended up with 2 good clutching setups using the Yamaha primary and secondary and then using the Yamaha primary and Team secondary!

home made turbo
Was that horsepower off the track ? If so that's really good power with that low of boost, Ken.

No the HP at the track was 75 hp. It's in a Vector Mtn so it was slingin a 151" x 2" track. It makes between 175-180 hp at the crank on premium at 7 lbs of boost.
