Where does the engine make its most power?
Most of the dyno results on the stock N/A motor put it right around 8900 rpms. There are guys raising the rev limiter to clutch at 9100 and not hit the rev limiter but it seems as if the curve levels out for a few 100 rpms and then drops off. This was one from D&D with their can on it from 8200 to 8800 rpms there is only 1 hp difference and the torque is already dropping off.
Oh and this was a 14, do you have the old motor or the new one? supposedly there is a few ponies more in the new gen 16 motor. Remember the total hp is not important because every dyno is a bit different.

Mine is a 2016 cat so its the old motor i believe, im hoping it just needs to break in a bit because its only turning 8050 right now.
Well it should be turning more than that from new. 16's depend on the build date I believe anything after 3-15-2015 has the new motor in it. I did hear there was a recall just the other day because the team clutches were not assembled correctly. You may want to check with your dealer. Break in will not raise your rpms 800.

Thanks, it does have the recall so maybe thats what it is, build date was 5/25/15. Whats the easiest way to tell if its the new motor or old?
In one of these threads there is an explanation. I think you have to look at the valve cover or cam journals on the side of the block to tell.

Here it is its in page 2 of the second link
The easiest way to check is to open your exhaust side panel and check the valve cover gasket, the 2 bump downs are in the old motor like in the picture the new ones are flat on this side

Check with your dealer, see if there's any updates on the new team clutches. That is way too low, you want it running 8900-9000 rpm and even with it broken it it's not gonna be close to that

Just a side note, dyno is not real world riding if it was we would all set our clutches under 9k and we don't. Dyno has its place don't get me wrong, but don't think everything on a dyno translates to the same on the snow.
