I have captured the snowmobile trails that I ride with my GPS by saving the tracks. I usually just upload the tracks back to my GPS before I go back to that area to ride and then I have them on my GPS.
It would be nice to covert these to maps which then could be loaded to my GPS. What software will do that for me? I am presently using a Garmin GPS V and I have a lot of the trails in New Hampshire captured as tracks.

Try this site, it's what I used and after quite a lot of work I was able to come up with some pretty useful maps.

Yup, you'll find a buttload of info on how to do this on GPSSledMaps..
Also, you will find a map already downloaded with several tracks from many areas including yours. The tracks you have saved may already have been mapped out.

There are No Maps for New Hampshire on this website
I was aware of this website and I have looked through the posts. There is a tab for New Hampshire but no maps or information under the New Hampshire tab.
The support section and the tutorial section does not work either so I am not able to determine what software is being used to create the maps from tracks.
I would like to contact the webmaster of that site but there is no contact info that I could find.

I am not sure what GPS or software you are using but try http://www.gpsvisualizer.com. You can upload your GPS file(s) of tracks to the website and it will give you a file in any format for programs like Google Earth which you can create a map from.

What I am trying to do is to convert my track information in a digital map format which would load into Mapsource or directly onto my GPS. I have a lot of tacks which I have saved on trails here in New Hampshire which I would like to turn into a map format for the GPS.
I presently have a Garmin GPS V and I am also thinking about updating that since is does not accept SD cards.

Click the link below. It will get you started on how to begin with making maps. It will take some time to learn though.

You might try contacting RWS from North Dakota on hard core sledder. He does this all the time for Garmin maps and I seem to remember him having a tutorial some where.

Try ExpertGPS (~$60 @ expertgps.com). It will read in your GPS track data and display it on topo maps and satellite images on your computer. You can also create routes in the software and download this info to your GPS.
If you just want to store and retrieve your track data there is a free version of this software called EasyGPS. This version will display tracks and routes but without the underlying topo information. It a very simple interface.
