How well did the PUSH turbos work that Yamaha offered for the Nyto high elevation last year? Are they pretty good?, What about durability? Can they work for low elevation with the right clutching? Saw a couple on e-bay for $2,600 new and complete, seemed like a great deal!

they are fine, not ball bearing turbo so not the best out there. I am sure many owners are happy with them for the price!

i also would like to hear from those that do have a push turbo , whats the big differance between his and the mcx , and why is he now not doing them for yamaha sleds , his website says it

Might get more reply out of the boost section at this time of year

Thou new and only reading about snowmobiling for a couple of years. The push turbo is the only system that passed all Yamaha’s requirements. Plus its first system I had read about that worked in mountains and sea level; plus being a complete turnkey system including clutch; also rider does not have to adjust the system. ;)!

Didn't push just get passed over for the mpi turbo and s/c by yamaha cause of demand issues?

Not sure of the exact issue for sure and it may be a volume issue, but if I was doing one now would go with the one that is turnkey plus passing all the test Yamaha set; that being Push.

I'm interested in longevity not having the fast sled and then rebuilding after every run.....Yes, wish I had the option of another 45 hp, would have jumped at that offer.

well if you want longevity go with mcx they are the most proven kit. but as far as push, i have heard that they run really good, but some have had problems running them at low elevations. maybe they didnt know what they were doing i dont know. i got an mcx just due to the altitude compensating factor and the fact that they are proven. i wouldnt have any problem going with a push kit though from what i have heard from people.

I think on his site he says they can get up to 190 hp on his turbo , i'v asked a few dealers up here in canada if they have had any come back or had troubles , nothing yet ,

i think i'll wait another year and see what the talk is then , i'd like to see some members who have that push turbo give a report themselves , it's allot of money and i want to go with one that will stand up to a few years of riding

judger101, I have experience neither. But mcx does have a following on the boards; plus the other issue is everything needs service at some time. So it might for some be important that they can get service on whatever system they buy. Plus many do want the fastest sled on the hill; and have read many happy people with mcx boosted well over 200 hp.

My reasons for Push or MPI were sold by Yamaha and that the Push pasted all the test with only 8 lbs of boost and was the first turnkey offering, to my reading of the boards were the first one's that were plug and play. I like the idea of not woring about any thing except whats ahead on the trail and not if I'm over reving the engine.

Thanks for the recommendation of mcx will have to take the time to read up on that system.
