Just wondering what the best way to go about finding out about recalls on my sled would be. Its an 06 RTX with only 380 miles on it and, of course, the inside idler wheels have no rubber left on them... When I bought the sled the guy I bought it from said his dealer told him there was a recall on those wheels. Anyone else know anything about this or am I on my own, pretty much like everything else that breaks on the monoshock???

Sounds like a good time to strike up a relationship with the friendly Yamaha dealer of your choice.
I simply phone or email my dealer with the serial number of the vehicle in question and they look up the recalls for me. I do this with other brands of equipment I own so it's not Yamaha specific. A good dealer, regardless of brand will be happy to help you out.

As far as I know in Canada the wheels were warrantied one time only within the first year of warranty. If I remember correctly there are no official recalls on that sled.

shanksyamaha... I bought a used 06 apex rtx for only $4000 knowing i was going to need to replace exhaust donuts, idler wheels and go over the whole sled. When I went to my local dealer i gave them my vin number and they did a check on recalls. Yamaha will replace the inner idler wheels regardless of a YES warranty or not, but only once.
