I had to replace one decal on one of the side panels on my machine last spring. went to take the cover off last week and the sticker is starting to peal, anyone have any tricks to make the decals stick to the porous plastic side panels. I have called around to a couple of sign places and get different answers every time. I took the panel inside, warmed it up and cleaned it with rubbing alchohol before applying the sticker.

As you did but...
I was told on the site here (and did it--and it worked) to first clean the surface with rubbing alcohal or Hyd.Peroxide(same thing I think?) and then heat the surface with a blow dryer before adding the decal. Then apply heat to the decal as well. Maybe just by taking it inside...you didnt warn it up enough.

I took black plastic, maybe a 16th thick, traced the sticker over it,cut the plastic, rounded the edges like the sticker, then double sticky back taped it to the rear of the tunnel. It wont ever move and you can keep putting the new stickers over it. I know thats not where the sticker goes, but nobody has ever said anything, including DNR,hope I'm not jinxing myself.I'm sure you could do this on the side panels also.....Dean

You can also take a butane torch, after cleaning the surface, and run it over the spot. this will take the oxygen away from the surface for up to an hour, which promotes adhesion.
I learned this trick in I-CAR class when painting plastics.
Works like a charm!

- None, looking now!
I just clean the surface and spray a little "sticker on" by 3M to the back of the decals. Works great for me.
