How do you remove headlight pod with AEM gauge

I was wondering what you guys do to remove your gauge pod/headlight on a apex when you have a AEM AF gauge? I have the BPE pod and there is no quick release for the gauge under the headlight so when I work on the sled I have to have the pod hanging there all the time. Be nice to remove it completly some times. I heard the wiring is calibratred to the sensor so I have reservations cutting it and adding a splice.

For my AEM gauges I ran my power leads together into one connector, and the grounds soldered together into a ring terminal (using 5mm bolt for the cross bracket) so I can disconnect and remove the POD.

I found an old harness kicking around and solder connectors, easy to remove, i used a 8 pin plug,,

No no no, don't cut the lead to the sensor from the gauge!!!!!
We quick-disconnected the power leads from the gauge itself, unplugging the sensor from the harness and removing the POD that way.
