I am replaceing the clutch side jack shaft bearing, I have the shaft completely out but the bearing came out with it. Is there a simple trick to remove the bearing from the threaded collar?
The bearing is tapered so it tightens up on the colllar when the nut is tightened. This also locks the collar to the shaft so if you tap the bearing toward the threaded end it should slip off the collar loosening the collar enough to slip off the shaft, Ken.
