'10 VECTOR LTX
Mine will run 100- 101, sometimes I can get 102 , saw 104 one time.
........Runs about 8500 R.P.M.

'10 ltx, no mds no studs it has 1600 miles on it.

My buddy was on my sled this week ,I was on his 06 apex i was going 106 he said he was going 100 and I didn't feel like I was closing on him very much. We should have done some side by side runs ,

What are the rest of you guys seeing on the " Big Number-Gauge" :exc:

Fastes I have seen on the speedo is 105. Have never bothered with the GPS. Handling, not speed, is what impresses me more than my previous Apex.

Only seen 98 MPH on speedo, once. Hardpack trail, open field, nobody coming.

I haven't had it on a lake to see if it will hit 100+ yet.

Oh, and I agree with iasledder, not about speed with the LTX Vec.

In my best Mexican accent... "It's all about the ride holmes." ;)!

Hey Cat man , thanks for posting your set- up on here , I am running a modified version of it. That sled works well, My Apex buddy can't stop talking about how well it works.
No darting not much ski lift and no slide rail wear.
I do have my skies shimmed back and have the clicker up at about 8

I was just wondering about the speed thing since i am running with an apex all day. We run tight all day and I get better fuel milage.

I have seen 110 mph my speedo 2010 LTX. Hard packed lake. Right next to my buddys Apex. Put the wide front end on and its probbibly the best trail sled out there. Dont miss the Apex at all

I was thinking about gearing it down one tooth but havent had the time this year just too busy riding. Has anyone had any luck with gear changing? If so pm your set up. Dont really want to change out the thread.

hey sled head i was thinking the same thing . that sled has plenty of RPM's to spare one more tooth may not hurt it at the botton and may pick it up some at the Big end A dealer said a gear change will kill that sled , but i am not sure till i try it . For the price ao a gear , i can put it back , if i want .
There is so much more in that sled , Yamaha is just playing with us on that Thing

I hit 100 on a hard packed lake and I am very pleased with the speed and power it has. I easily walk away from my buddies doo 600 and I keep up with the doo 800. Maybe a mile or two faster than mine. My friends were shocked at the performance of the four-stroke!

I have seen these speeds on my 08 Vector. Question is, how much quicker is the FI Vector vs the Carb Vector?

Is there much difference in a flat out drag?

The F.I. Makes that a complete different sled. It has a very nice kick to it.
I rode a carborated vetctor alst year .To me they are night and day different

106mph gps on a icy road with my venture gt. i also used 21/39 (1.86) gearing it help to moved that big track. in normal trail condition it's between
96-101 mph gps so not bad considering that the huge windshield may be slow me down.

how fast

08 ltx...nice cold day had up to 105 once. never could get it back there again. usually get around 99-101

my tf has 20/39 gearing
i have seen 103 on hard road
98 on hard trail on the lake
i don't think gearing up will gain any
i can feel the big windshield like a sail ;)!
