Have a chance to buy this. 2006 Apex RTX with 560 miles and simmons skis. $5500. Price sounds good to me. Just curious what it is really worth.

Pretty hard to get a straight answer sometimes eh. Have a good look at it and if you need to start replacing parts then its probably not such a good price. Check the track, skis etc But with only 560 miles, sounds like a good price.

Good luck.

That sounds like a pretty good price to me also, assuming it is in good shape. Where is it located and does it have reverse? I pondered buying one without reverse but in the end I'm glad I got it.

That is a great deal!!!!!!! You need to pick that up quickly before someone else buys it. List Apex RTX is $10,500. I picked up mine last summer new for $8k. They are going for $6500 to $7500 right now.
Good luck.

I just purchase a 06 Apex ER with 1500 miles on it for $6000 and felt like I did really good. The sled was clean and flawless. I got saddle bags, trunk bag, tank bag, and windshield bag with it. I think $5500 is a great price.

If it starts quickly, doesn't have any type of oil smell, and has good throttle response after it warms up, the motor is at least in decent shape (for a quick test anyway)
Check for studs, and how many are broken, bent, torn through, which might help to show if its been ridden too hard, or in marginal conditions.Look at the suspension components for signs of alot of gravel road riding. (rock chips)
Also, profile the guy... If the rest of his stuff (car, house, other toys...) looks like he (or she) takes good care of the rest of their belongings, you're probably be safe. You rarely find a diamond in the rough....
