08, 300 miles on it and I can already move the top A arm around. Is it going to hurt anything if I wait till the 500 mile service?

Yes, I plan on the oilite bushings.

Along these lines, are the original bushings covered under warrenty?

If so, has anybody tried to have the dealer install the better bushings instead of the plastic ones? I know I could do it myself but I am figuring they will need to do the lower ball joint as well. That and I think my front bulkhead is bent.

300 miles and the sled is falling apart.

My dealer replaced bushings free of charge - not sure if it was warranty or just goodwill. I think you can make a good case - things should not be sloppy at 300mi. Why don't Yamaha just put in proper bushings and save all the hassle for their loyal customers.

You ask a good question about the dealer installing oilite bushings ( I assume you mean you would buy them and they do the installation?) - I wondered the same - it would probably depend on the dealer.

ps. I don't think 200 extra mi will hurt anything. I put over 3000Km on my 1st set and now over 4K on the second set.

I just had the dealer install oilite bushings instead of the factory bushings. They also installed all new ball joints and a new tie rod end. Everything but the Oilite bushings was covered under warranty.
