I generally buy a new belt every season and run about 2500km. I change it out, not because of the belt failing, but just for better performance. Something definately aint right in your setup for such a short lifespan with your belts...to much heat in your clutching system.
There are many things you can look into:
Belt tension may be too tight.
Clutches may be out of alignment.
Clutch springs (helix position) may be too weak, causing poor belt grab.
The chain in the chaincase may be too tight.
Bearings on the jackshaft or driveshaft might be shot.
The track may be too tight causing too much tension/tightness in the drive system.
Idler wheel bearings may be shot.
You may be too fat/heavy
(like me) for the stock clutch settings.
There is some form of inefficiency in your clutching system, you just have to find where you can improve it. Look in your owner's manual (or do a search here) on these items and you may find your answer. It may very well be a combination of these things.
