Like many I have a 05 RX-1 on the way (off of an Arctic Cat). I was wondering how many miles to expect on a tank of fuel?

I have got 135 miles and still had about 2 gallons left when I filled up.. I would agree with Indy and say that you should get 160 miles before the sled stops running..

I don't know :?

My buddies always need fuel between 80 and 90 miles so I top off when they fill up. I always take half of what they take plus I use regular while they use premium. I won't even talk about waiting for them as they drive around looking for a mom and pop gas station that carries they brand of 2-smoke oil :4STroke:

:flag: Yamaha always wins, in the fill up dept!!!, Coming from a mach, I almost dont need to take extra five gallons in the trailer, I do in case I take longer trips on the rx1s, but each time i went out say 50-100 miles I was always filling the mach up, when I came back for a break/lunch, then to ride some more, Now with the rx1s It isnt even a comparison I am like going this is not real! I hardly used any gas! ;)! I top it off when i get home its like 2 to 1, I know that as miles go up I have yet to pass 300 mi mark, 287, 285, the mileage should increase I am very happy with the fuel milage :4STroke:

04 RX1 Shorty....My fuel light comes on btw 105-115 miles depending on how I am riding....So 160 might be possible.... :4STroke:

:4STroke: I took a chance 1 time and didn't top off when my 2 stroke buddys filled up and when we would stop for brakes, they were all hooting on me that they wouldn't be able to tow in my 1Ton. When the had to stop and fill up 157 miles on my RX1 Mountain 9.2 gal. with NO oil added they couldn't belive it. :flag: :rocks:

I went 130 miles with my turbo and took 8.4 gallons.

I try do this EVERY time we go out, just to piss the other guys off..... and (knock on wood) I haven't run out yet (been very close though). We ride allot off trail and you will find the fuel difference between 2 stokes and 4 strokes is even greater when you're hard on the throttle.

160 miles per tank for sure. Never seen much more than that. But that is riding pretty high speed all day long.

PS....that's on Regular

Ive gotton a best of 183 miles on one tank with about 2 gals of gas left! GAS GAUGE READ "E"

And sometimes i only get about 130 miles out of a tank!

Its weird how milage can vary so much!!

Best on trail 150mi with 2 gal left. Worst on trail 80mi with 1 gallon left. Off trail has been between 8 and 11mpg

i usually dont use more than a half tank when i go out. i dont have hundreds of miles of trails like you guys do. i have about 12 miles of trail, then its hundreds of acres of open powder to play in. I usually get about 70 miles out of a half tank. i go about 45 on the trails since they are windy, and wide open 72mph on the powder. pretty good going 72mph on 3 foot deep loose powder

if i didnt want to go to the powder, there are about 40 miles of trails, but powder is where its at. Powder and frozen lakes that you can race on
