How much to fix??? Dealer help?

nah, I think I am going to take a change of pace and go back to 2-smoke this time. I really disliked the rear skid and would like to lose a little bit of weight on my next sled...

ok, but it still is the same rear skid.... In my years of riding sleds, this skid has perplexed me more than any as far as trying to tune it to my liking...

Please don't get me wrong- I love everything about that sled except the fact that I can't find the sweet spot of the rear suspension.

Wow! So if i ever want a new sled ( with a clean record) just Ghoast it in to sum stationary objects?? Dam I could get use to sumthing like that...

The Nytro is within a few pound fo rthe REV. I can't remember which was lighter when dry, but I think The Nytro is just a few pounds lighter when fueled up and ready to ride.
Weight alone shouldn't be a deciding factor. I'm sure you know there are thousands of Ty'ers here that will argue that Yamaha 4-strokes are deeigned well enough that the weight really isn't an issue. I've ridden an Apex since they came out with them, and I'd never switch back to a 2-stroke just for teh weight savings.
I have talked to a guy about his 9500 mile Apex he's needing a rack for. He doesn't want to sell it because it runs too good. I've never seen a 2-stroke sled with that many miles.

Just to quickly update everyone-

the sled was confirmed total loss and I decided not to buy it back as the bulkhead needed replacing. I know I'm gonna get flamed for it, but I ended up going with a leftover Rev 600SDI. I looked at the new nytro and just couldn't justify spending that much money on it new. The gas tank and rear skid would have needed to be addressed in order for it to ride like I want, something I don't have the time or the effort for during riding season... I'll certainly look at Yamaha in the future, but at this point in time, I'll let the new nytro go through its adjusment phase and see what happens in a couple years.
