Hi,I have a 2006 apex GT and want to get rid of the risaw track for a taller lug, how tall can I go without studs? I am thinking of a camoplast cobra, any input? thanks.

Depends on how much work you wanna do>
I have an 06 Attak w/ a 1.5" lug only had to remove the tunnel protectors. The track would rub. Could have rode it, just did not like the vibration.
Drop a tooth in in the drivers and you could go crazy.......... Then some regearing would be needed.

- None, looking now!
I thought I saw on here awhile back, someone went with a 1.75 on there sled. You would have to go with 8t drivers for sure. Like Sob, I run a 1.5 on my Attak, had to remove the protectors as well and the track JUST clears the front cooler protectors. Or maybe notch the track?
Try a search, I'm sure you'll be reading for awhile.

Stock track = 1.25"
Tunnel protectors = ~.75", maybe 1" (haven't measured).
Remove tunnel protectors (including the ones on the heat exchanger), and it should fit at least 1.25+.75=2" with 9 tooth drivers.

Is possible to use the new Cobra track (1.352), with 9 tooth drivers and without removing the tunnel protectors? This would be without studs of course.

So is everybody in agreement that you can go 1.5" with using the stock drivers.

after taking out the tunnel protectors yes.
I had a 1.5 Intense and it rubbed a little either trim the track or just run it. Next step is to pull the protectors

Maximum lug height with tunnel protectors is something like 1.35-1.36", anything higher will rub the tunnel protectors (unless the track lugs are notched where they meet the protectors).
