Can i pull out the oil dipstick while the sled is running to see if my oil light comes on.I want to test to make sure the light is working.

Try disconnecting the oil sensor plug from the top of the dip stick and turn the sled on should light up,no need to be riding it.

I tried Unpluging the oil sensor.while the sled is idleing but no light.

Right, its a connect sensor -- when the oil level drops, it CREATES a circuit. You would have to disconnect the plug and short the leads. Thats not a good way to check the sensor. That basically would check the WIRE and the LIGHT, but not the sensor. Go ahead and idle it with the dipstick up.

Thanks i will do that.I guess its a closed circuit.And when the oil drops low enough the sensor makes a contact to open the circuit to make the light come on.
