So here's the thing... I am coming of my phazer and want power so wats next nytro !!! I was talking to my dad and he says If I am gonna mod the sled buy the basics so I am now in the process of buying a engine, tunnel, and subframe... I get to build the rest!!!

So I get to build up the sled from the basics I am looking for a 136 because I ditchbang alot and play in an abandon ski hill. I do ride 50% trails and I sometimes take it to my friends track so I need strong parts. What do u guys recomend and for all of u asking I will post pics...
O would like to know stuff like light skid, shocks , a arms, I was gonna try out the new yamaha skis too.... Tomorrow I am calling timbers Ed to see if they will make a 136" skid :)

Try using the search function... there are a number of Nytro builds with a lot of emphasis on the reduction of weight, ie. battery, skid, seat, exhaust, a arms, shocks, etc.

You can learn a lot by just doing a search and not asking every question that comes to mind. It becomes...tedious and repetitive. Pretty much every mod has been done already.

I don't think a timbersled rear suspension was designed for jumping on a track. Thats a light weight mountain suspension from what I gather. I would be looking for a 121 suspension out of a race sled. A ski doo 600 RS or a Polaris IQR. And put rail extensions on it, out to 136, or have Iceage make some strong rails for you.

You are planning on building this sled from scratch basically? You're doing it backwards. You're supposed to buy wrecked sleds and part them out. Not buy parts and build a sled.

I think it would be way cheaper to just buy a good used nytro, sell the parts you don't want, and then buy aftermarket parts.

Well that's where it is going I think ... But is timbers ed ment to handle like 60 ft jumps and I only take it to a track like once a year and I don't beat on it I do road jump and we get trails with some big bumps that are pretty rough... U don't think the skid could handle that

I'm not so sure the nytro itself can handle that lol

Really!? yeah I dont think a Nytro can take a little abuse either. :jump:

Well, I know the nytro is a tough sled, but when someone starts talking about 60 foot jumps, and a track... I'm not so sure its the sled I would choose.

But then again, if I was flying 60 feet through the air I'd probably die no matter what sled I was on lol

Agreed.

Why dont you just buy a used nytro in working condition?

It usually costs more to buy a new car/ sled/ or whatever in pieces than to buy it complete.

i am looking at one tomorrow thta together but im trying to knock weight off and i cant do it with a stock skid... whats the weight of renegade skids
