How to open "switchblade" key - to make duplicate

Sorry if I am missing a previous post, but, I am looking to duplicate the "switchblade" key that came with my '06 Apex. I have a duplicate key blank on it's way, but, wondering how to take the actual metal key out of the plastic switchblade case. It looks like there's tiny little tab to the side of the Yamaha log, (at 9:00) when looking at the key/logo rightside up. I tried prying in there, gently, but it didn't seem to want to release. Before I go too far, hopefully someone can help me figure it out.

Have your Yamaha dealer cut it by the 4 digit code on the key.
