Hello everyone and thanks for all the great info here. I have a 2011 Apex XTX that I bought used last year and took on a trip to Wyoming. It was great fun and I am going back this year. I have decided to upgrade the track to a Backcountry and also want to put on a new set of older Apex mountain skis. Can anyone please tell me what all I need to get to do the conversion? I know I will need the skis and mount bolts but am not sure about the spacers and bushings at the spindle. Thanks for any input.

you'll need 2 spacers and the bushing that goes threw the spindle with the nut and bolt, I don't know if the spindles are the same on a 2011 as the other years but when I put mountain skis on my Attak that's all I needed

x2 on what dage said.

keep the stock ski rubber and add 3/8" (approx) spacer underneath it as the rubbers are different than the old ones. I used a piece of conveyor belt to shim mine when I put my curve skis on. had them on my old 05 rxwar and I needed to do this to get the proper ski bias. you might have to add a shim at the rear so the tips stay up better when in the air but I think just the spacer should be enough.

Ok. Thanks for the input. When I get the parts and get the skis installed I will post back and let you know how it works out. BTW nice pics Maim.

Glad you liked it. Having a bit of a problem resizing for avatar pic. I will try again later. Rest of the pics would be under 2013 Ontario Ty ride thread.
