What is the best way to reduce ski pressure on an 06 rtx?? Limiter strap? Transfer rod? Fox float pressure??

Thanks

You're not going to get much from the mono skid. I would take some air out of front shocks. If you're trying to relieve the darting and make it easier to steer, I would try the woody dooly carbides. The mono skid does not have separate front arm pressure obviously. Transfer rod and limiter strap only affect transfer, not ski pressure. Maybe I should restate that. The limiter strap would add ski pressure if you tightened it. If it is loose already, nothing you do in the rear would take off ski pressure if your not under full throttle making it transfer. Make sense?

If the straps are tight, you could try loosening them. Then comes less pressure in the shocks. But you did not say why you wanted to reduce ski pressure. Depending on the symptom you want to avoid, ski pressure may be only one option. KnapAttack is right. Doolies will take out most of the darting. What exactly are you trying to change?

I asked the question for a friend, I do not own a sled with a Mono Shock (07 FX and 03 RX with Sc10 III) I was not sure how to reduce ski pressure on his 06 RTX. He has put SLP power pro skiis on his new (left over) RTX. The front end feels very heavy and has too much bite & is hard to turn bars. He would like to reduce steering effort and make the sled feel a little lighter.

Thanks

Not sure if thoses skis use saddles or not but if you could rocker the ski using either the saddle or the carbide itself it may help reduce the steering effort. Just an idea. Also as stated drop the front limiter strap if there are any holes left.

My brand new 06 RTX has stiff steering when I have it off the floor up front I was hoping this would loosen up after a ride or two mayby your friends sled has same issue .
