How to take off a 2011se seat?

Hey guys. Trying to get seat off so I can shim up the tunnel protectors. Any help in removing the seat would be helpful. Thanks

look inside the rear storage compartment of the seat, there are (2) - 12 mm bolts, remove them and slide the seat off, disconnect the power to the tail light.

pull seat to the back after unbolting. did not have to unplug wires to take seat off. just my 2 ct.

The bolts for the tunnel protectors are accessed from the tunnel not under the seat. To get at them you will need to drop the rear of the suspension.
