Recently bought a hurricane flash tool. I have had serious difficulty getting any satisfaction. To start, it took about 30 tries to update the firmware. Error after error. Tried several cords, every USB port on the computer and finally got the firmware updated message. I was able to hook my phone to the flasher when it was powered by the computer USB. It downloaded a few files. I then brought the flasher to the garage and hooked it to the sled. Ends up with the same error everytime. Tool does not respond. I’ve tried two different phones, deleted and reinstalled the app several times, restarted my phone a handful of times, charged the sled battery to full. All ending up with that same message, tool does not respond. I’ve talked to Hurricane. I tried everything they suggested. I’ve messaged GAP innovations through this site. They haven’t answered yet. I’m about at my wits end. Any suggestions would be appreciated or at least a nudge in the right direction to solve this issue would be welcomed.
 

When you plug it into the sled does the indicator light come on, on the flasher? Does it pair with the phone without issue on Bluetooth? Have you logged into your account on your phone? The only time I have trouble is after pushing updates to the flasher and then having poor internet access on my phone while at the sled trying to retrieve the changes in the phone or iPad

Yes. Indicator light is white, phone shows up in Bluetooth list as connected and yes logged in.
 
White indicator light hmmmm. Dunno if the newer flasher has I different color light? Mine is red when connected. Anyway...... If it's paired and connected what screen do you see on your phone? Can't you post a pic of the error screen?

Also would like to see the screen shot of the phone when you have the GAP app open on your phone
 
Key in the on position. Voltage shows 12.2 on dash.
 
One other thing....have you uninstalled the gap software on the computer and tried it after a reinstall?
 
I'm not sure if this matters anymore, but if I recall early on the PC version of the install to the flasher was a little more trouble free
 
What error occurs when you hit the connect button on that screen?
Says gathering info, seems normal. Then the tool does not respond screen.
