Hurricane flash tool troubles

I'm still curious about the white light.....

I checked it again. Flickers slightly between white and red, goes solid red for half a second. Repeats cycle.

I must say I have never run into the issue with it saying it's gathering info and then not responding. I am assuming you installed on a Mac being and iPhone guy?

There isn't anything else close by that the phone might be trying to pair with is there?

Just curious, have you tried connecting while the sled is running yet just to see if the flasher stays paired?

Yeah. I think I may just send it to Hurricane and see if they can figure it out.

It's been a while since I updated my flashes, but I think it's supposed to flash blue when the flasher is pushing flashes to the ECU.

I don’t ever get that far. Just seems like it won’t talk to the ECU at all.

Try emailing gap directly. They've helped me with some strange issues a couple times now and got it sorted quickly. I'm at work now so don't know the email but I believe if you search gap here one of their early threads listed Patrick's email

PM @GAP Innovation. They will straighten it out for you. Mine flashes blue when connected to sled. With sled off waiting for riders (slower and or crashed) behind me the blue flash is quite noticeable at night in the dark. I had trouble last week with my flasher so I took it in with me a lunch to have it unplugged for a while. After lunch, plugged it back in and worked as normal. Judging by that connect screen your flasher has NEVER been connected before? You might needed server side configuration ie: input your VIN etc. When I open GAP the bottom of that screen says connect to last tool. Yours is blank.

Its gone from bad to worse. Tried loading the firmware updater. Tells me my firmware is unknown and will not update. Fails on memory 1 every time. Gap did get back to me, so hopefully they can tell me what’s going on.

I believe GAP is aware of the issue, mine worked flawlessly up to this weekend, now it is horrific. Try uninstalling app on phone and re installing. I had to do mine yesterday , it helped but still not the way it was.
