Does anyone have the instructions for the installation of the hurricane hindle kit for the Nytro? Bought the kit and had it on my Nytro like 7 years ago and when I sold the sled removed the kit. Want to install the kit on another Nytro but can't find the instructions anymore. Cant find them online anywhere, tried emailing Dave but was never sent the instructions. If anyone has them could you send me a copy.
Thanks

Just installed mine last fall. Like RG said..pretty straightforward. Pm me if you need some info.

Hey, Yamaha06 was actually asking for me as I had just bought the kit from him. I had asked if he still had the install directions only to see if there was any small points that are made in them outside of the obvious things. I guess the hole needs to be 3 1/2" in the bottom of the airbox, is it possible to drill it with the airbox in place, or does it need to be removed for the install?

Right on, thanks!
I am correct that it is a 3 1/2" Hole?
Any other advice?

I'd have to check my hole saw for the diameter...either 3 1/2 or 4 1/2. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Other hints..
Take ur time unscrewing the oem nuts around the header...especially those headbolt nuts. I sprayed mine the night before and let them set for overnight. Took my time and they broke free. Reuse the exhaust flange. I kept all my oem parts incase I ever go back to stock.

I had to muscle in the Hindle head pipes into oem head. They are tight..but I used some wd40 to help push and set them. The rest of the exhaust fit fairly nice. Just took my time to place and set them to where there was best visual clearance everywhere.

I have a trail tank ao I had to manipulate the main wiring connect up and behind front left side of tank. Not much room..but made it work.

Just take ur time and enjoy it. Biggest changes I noticed...

1. Louder...especially from airbox. Muffler has a nice growl..sweet note. Buddies behind me don't complain...but I do wear earplugs now on longer runs. No ear buzz when going to sleep that night. Oh...and I'm not 20 anymore...so louder isn't my flavour as much as it once was...lol

2. Noticeable power increase. Sled takes way less time to get to speed. Very nice response off throttle. Stayed tip to tip w my nephews non stock F7...and my brother's Apex..untill anout 500 feet when he started to creep away. But I was impressed. Was running the 1.75 BC too..and I was 280lbs at the time vs 210 lbs for him and 1.25" lug on his stretched 144

3. The ever popular Nytro "popping" noise when accelerating hard...is now more pronouced...but that's it. Just hear it more now as its more evident...but still a normal thing. Im just used to it.

I think you'll love it..and if not, take it off and sell it.

Awesome stuff, thank you!
I already ride with earplugs just to cut out the wind noise so no issues there!
