So I'm running 8600rpm @ 16 psi for boost should I leave it alone for the 300 tune

You'll need more weight in it for the 300 tune if that's what your asking...

Why not switch it to 300 and find out?

Like Mike stated either tune requires 8800-8900 rpms so if you are now only at 8600 change ramps of primary spring, with a higher finish rate.

So I should change the slug to a lighter weight correct ? Sorry I'm a newbie lol

Take 1-2 grams out of the weights. GENERAL rule of thumb----1 gram =200RPM

I thought you said you were 16 lbs and 8600. That's where the 240 tune runs is 15.5 lbs to 16 lbs or so.

300 is up at 19.5-20 lbs.

8800 is where all the tunes should be according to Hurricane, however I find them liking a bit higher than that in the field. I like to see them up around 8900 even ticking 9k depending on conditions.

I set 270 at 8800 since this is the tune I run most!
300 will rev around 9000 and 240 will be at around 8600.

From the dyno sheets I've seen 8750 is max power
