I am going to have to replace my Hyfax pretty soon. Any suggestions as what to use? I am pretty happy with the Yammi ones they have 3000 miles on them, but I have heard of longer lasting better top speed out of graphite hyfax. Is there any truth to this?

Question is: How much money do you want to throw away. Granted the Yamaha graphite ones are not too much more. But you could spend as much as $100+ on Hyper-fax. They will all wear out eventually.

IMO: 3000 miles is pretty good. I'll stay with the stock ones.

My experience, don't waste your money on anything other than the basic Yamaha hyfax. I haven't tried the graphite, but I have the tried the more expensive Yamaha hyfax that is suppose to wear longer. It doesn't.

From what I hear from people that use or have used them, the hyperfax are more prone to damage from snirt/sand/etc. Not worth the $$$$ in my opinion.

By the way, I have over 8K mi. on my original ones although our trip to L'Anse/Baraga this weekend took care of that...... :o| Let's just say BARE-aga is appropriately named, eh? :?

I think 3000 is pretty good and they still have more life left in them. I was just reading about graphite ones giving you some more top speed and less drag, I wanted to get some feedback from guys that have tried them.

Are you guys adding an extra idler wheel or putting spacers in your existing wheels? I'm trying to get some more life out of my hyfax, we have not exactly been blessed with an abundance of show, so I'm trying to avoid the melting plastic/stuck track on stops syndrome!!!

I have the Yamaha Graphite hyfax and have had good luck with them. They are about $28.00 a set for the 136" ones from my dealer. The origonal ones wore out at 250 miles. I have over 1000 miles on the new ones with very little wear. No extra wheels or anything.

2,300 miles on current set of standard Yamaha and still a ton more wear left. I have been riding in a lot of snirt and marginal conditions.

I put the Yamaha Graphite hyfax on my previous sled and on both of my 2005 Warriors. Thay seem to be much better as far as wear than the originals. If the fronts are wearing more, pull in the straps a 1/2" or so. Make sure the track is tension is to spec. You can run it a little looser if you don't have studs.

hyfax wear

my warrior went from 103 mph on lake with old hyfax i put on new graphite hi perf. ones from yamaha next day i went 124 mph. but i stopped to talk too soon and melted track to them so im on third set not graphite back to 103 mph.top speed im going back to yamaha graphite ones soon i may not get 300 miles out of these cheap ones they are worn out at front already from lack of snow sometimes i here them sqeeking
