I have a question regarding wear on the Hyfax and the Black Plastic Cap on the beginning of my rails. I recently put on new Hyfax and the End Caps along with all new SLP Ant-Wear pads, after last years episode with the SLP Anti Wear Pads in which they had worn to the point of getting thin and peening over and the result was they cut into the Hyfax and the Aluminum rails. I Heli Arced and machined the rails and replaced all the worn parts (End Caps and Hyfax).
I have only used the sled once this year in my area and I'm getting ready for a week long trip to Quebec next week. I noticed today that the plastic end caps and the very beginning of the Hyfax are wearing already more than I would like to see. I don't believe there was any loss of the entry radius as a result of welding them, but I'm not sure. I'm checking everything out and I don't want to have a problem on my trip! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Bob

Limiter straps too loose? how tight do you run your track I find loose as possible without ratcheting is the best for hifax wear. If I run my stretched 136 per spec I wear the front of the slides in 500 miles loose I can get 1500 - 2000 miles.

WELL! I just tried transferring pictures and that's not working
But there wearing right at the very tips! Never seen this before
I'm going to mount the marginal snow idlers right behind the tips, tighten up the limiter straps, and adjust the track and see what happens.
