Long story short...my heated shield quit working the other night...turns out it was the adapter plug (which plugs into the 12 v port)....anyhow...I had the kit to wire in the HJC cord....so I started taking my hood and side panels off, and was about to remove my airbox...when a buddy of mine called....I told him what I was doing...and he starts laughing and said " you dumbass...look at your left hand, hand warmer block...remove the cap below it"....."there is your heated shield plug in".,....So yeah....if he had not called I would have taken the thing apart and wired in a new plug.......LOL......DOH!!
I honestly had no idea they came with one...my 07 didn't have one, and my cat only had the 12 v port (which I used the adapter with)....feel kinda dumb right now...lol

Helmet face shield plug in is under the left handlebar controls as you said, thanks for the heads up, never knew it was there. Looked at brochure and I didn't see it mentioned in there.
