I AM SO HAPPY!!

ex.

It sounds Badass.
I cant even think of a word to describe it, and nobody else could either today. all my buddies were loving the sound tho. its not ricey like a street bike. it sounds just plain mean when u stab the throttle! Nice and quiet idling outside, but shes a bit louder than stock when u open her up.
Put it this way, it sounded so good, my buddies didnt mind when i blew by them and dusted them with powder!!

As far as fitment, it COULD be alot better. on my xtx, it just barely fits between the tunnel protectors the way the midpipe kicks it on a angle.
For mounts, i made nice aluminum pieces about a 1/8" thick or so out of like 2" wide flat stock. I simply riveted them to the top of the tunnel protectors. 4 rivets front bracket, 4 rivets rear right, and only 3 rivets rear left as i had to turn the flat stock lengthwise and go out almost 3" to catch the mount. I had to FORCE the muffler to go down a half inch. against its will. to do this and help alignment i loosened the front 2 hanger bolts under the gas tank for the midpipe.
the front muffler mount tab is mounted under my fab bracket, with one custom rubber spacer between.
the rear right bracket uses 2 STOCK rubber spacers on a 1.5" stainless bolt also mounted under my fab bracket.
the rear left, well isnt perfect but it'll do. i used 3 rubber spacers on a 2" bolt, and upon tightening it really tweaked my fab bracket down, as its 3" long and only 1/8" thick. but like i said, the exhaust wants to go UP cuz the midpipe is pulling it up, and my brackets are actually pulling down.
the exhaust would stay up there with NO hangers besides the midpipe one.
once all my stuff was tightened, i re-torqued the front 2 midpipe mount bolts. thing is solid as a rock, and i don't see it going anywhere. the angle it ended up at, works out really well, because with the downturn of the tip and the angle its mounted at, the exhaust fumes exit the tunnel nicely without heating up track or tunnel.
remember, you get this exhaust CHEAP because they provide no instructions or hardware. I tried 3 diff exhaust clamps before finally giving up, and using the first one with a piece of stainless inside it, acting as a liner so i could tighten the clamp down on the pipe more.
I'd have been pissed if i payed $650 for this thing to fit like this. but i didnt, so its tottally worth it. cheaper then the yami cargo rack, ex turnout and fuel bags....
now i just need to build a custom seat bracket and drill some holes to finish my jerry can install!
Rode 25 miles on 200acres today in southern RI. not a typical winter day at all. still seams sturdy. tunnel doesnt get hot at all, cuz it didnt melt any of the snow that ended up inside the stock seat bracket/exhaust area on top of my OFT block off plate.
