I've been riding/racing snowmobiles for a long time. But not since I got my 1976 Mercury SnoTwister have I been so please with a new sled right out of the box. The ride, handling and engine are all very good. I own a Phazer and a Nytro and it is hands down better than either of them. In most categories anyway. Here's my don't like list:1) Four times in the 150 miles I've ridden so far it didn't want to start. Always after being shut down briefly. Then it flashes a code 1339. The dealer says Yamaha is aware of it and working the issue. 2) I don't think the brake modulates very well. And mine squeals. I use the brake a lot. I'm going to have to improve this. 3)The seat is too soft. I like my snowmobile seat to be more like my dirt bike seat.4) No clickers on the shocks. 5) The windshield is a waste of money. All in all though I am very happy.

2. I am geting used to the brake as I spend time on it but it is diff mounted to the drive shaft rather than the jack shaft.
3. The seat is too slippy with the turbo at launch I cannot stay on the sled at all. Calling Skinz for sticky seat cover.
4. Go with a set of float3 Evol RC2's there is more adjustment options on these than you will be able to keep track of! you can find them for $1200 from country cat or I have the take off float 3's for sale.
5. I was due for new gear and got complete outfit from MotorFist including helmet I don't need a windshield now my old gear was 10yrs old and mostly wal-mart. I was running standing up mostly at 2 deg with all the vents open and still sweating.
