I need your help...broken screw on hyfax

JB Weld is Epoxy with a dense filler. Might be metal filler. Expoxy is used to fill stripped screw holes all the time. Coat bolt with film of wax then You fill hole with JB Weld. Screw bolt into hole. Let it set up. The wax will ensure the bolts removal.
Your way of drilling out will work too. But maybe it would be better with a larger bolt? Less JB?
For what the screws funtion is you should be fine in any of the fix's.

I figured that there is not much stress on the screw that holds the hyfax in place...especially given how much effort it takes to slide one off.

I am not going to try and tap the hole, but just run a bolt thru with a nylock nut to keep it in place.

I would suggest that as long as your redrilling the hole you move it somewhere onto the rail itself. While I swear by JB weld also I'm not sure just how strong it would be drilling through it.

I'm gonna give it a shot leaving the hole in the stock location...that way, I don't have to modify my hyfax every time I swap them out.

Plus, I already cut the "access" hole for the nylock washer (which I had to do in order to get the darn screw out in the first place)

I may have exaggerated the size of the hole a bit...I couldn't even get my pinky in it. The hole is only the size of two 3/16" drill bit holes slightly over lapped.
