Otis Reservoir Otis, Mass.
The lake has 8" of ice as of this morning. Clear black ice, the best kind!
I plowed the 1/2 mile strip yesterday and with the 1-2 inches of snow on the ground the strip is ultra fast!! This will change quick by the weather forecast!
I plan to hold another "unofficial shootout" on the lake in mid january like last year.
We had 25-30 sleds last year and many folks have shown interest in holding the event again this year.
The lake will again be plowed, this time extra wide for 4-6 sleds across races. Radar gun will be available.
We're located in western mass southern section. 1 hour from Albany, NY , Hartford, CT. or Waterbury, CT (where Freddie, ECP is). Freddie was here last year with some of his ECP kits in action.
Look for more on this as we get closer.
The actual date has not been set yet. It will be set 5-7 days ahead based on the weather forecasts and my ability to keep the track plowed.

Hey Otis. I am located in northern Central Mass. How far are you going to have the race from there. What town is it going to be located in? Please keep me informed maybe we can bring some of our RX-1's down to see just how fast we are really going... We all have installed ECP air kits and some have installed the Speedshop clutch kits. Others have the Bender exhaust and others are stock except for the ECP kit... :D

do wee need to be registered in Ma for this? If so I am out. I refuse to register in this state, due to having to pay sales tax

DCPRXONE.............. The town is OTIS, MA.
Southeastern Berkshire county. 25 miles west of Springfield. Look on a map and find Otis Reservoir . Also look for RT#8 and RT 23. I'd say you're 1-1/2 hours. That Mass Pike to exit 3. Follow rt20 west to rt 23 west. Go 10 miles to the town of OTIS.
I'll give more detailed directions down the road.
Hope you can make it.
We had a really good time last year.
It's a great opportunity to tie up with other TY guys and compare sleds and mod effectiveness.

Reg in Mass is up to you!
The EPO's come out once in a while. Mostly if there's snow. They tend to stay off the lake when the snow is thin.
