Ice on oil tank and bottom chain case side (normal)

I went for the first ride of the year 65 miles, and the ice build up on the oil tank and bottom chain case has me worried i chipped out alot.
Is this normal andif so dose it stop at a certain piont or dose it keep getting worse.

Yes normal...coming in from the front vent....I may frog skin mine

It is a pre-filter material. It still allows air to pass but prevents snow from coming into the engine compartment. SLP also sells the material in rolls.

Ya, i will try some prefilter material and see if it makes it any better.

I've had duct tape over that vent for 2,700 miles now. I had the same issue when I first rode my sled and fixed it in about 30 seconds, lol.
