The ice scratchers on my M8 suck because if you back up they get all bent out of shape. The Viper I put my old set of sidekicks on it and as soon as my new set of sidekicks arrive I will put these on the Cat also. I prefer these as I always forget and back up with scratchers down. Anybody else run these?

I have them.. they work well for me.

Some have complained about them coming unhooked ... which isn't a big deal because you can run them in the down position in any conditions without hurting them.

Be sure to Red loctite them to the skid...I've heard some say they like to loosen up.

I've also read that if you leave them hung up on the rails for too long that they tend to stay in that bent up position... they get a "memory" if you will.

I've not had any of these problems with mine though and they were new this year.

I have these on my summit. I like them more the the spring units, but I find they throw less snow up. They always come unhooked on me, so I just leave them down when they do. I have had them stay in in the bent up position, but they straighten out easily. Its nice not having to worry about forgetting them in reverse. The tips also have to be quite tight, they can rotate.

I have them also. Went trough 3 sets of spring scratchers on our 2 nytro's last year. They would break going forward, only bent one backing up. As soon as I could get 2 sets of the Duraflex off back order they went on and stay down all the time.. I have the opposite problem of the guys that have one that comes unhooked. I have one that always hooks itself back up. I think I have to give it a little turn forward and see if that will stop it. 600 miles down in all conditions and I see no wear on the tips at all.
