Yamaha has had the process of the rubber being applied to the idler wheels changed on the 07 models to prevent the delamination problem from last season - although they look the same they have been constructed differently and should not be a problem anymore. Another good alternative is the accessory wheels offered by Yamaha through the accessory catalog. I personally put 1800 miles on a set of those last season with zero problems. Give me a call and I can get you hooked up with something that will work. Thanks

I did try a set of fancy wheels last year and they didn't last more than 1000 miles.
Can't wait for the 07 wheels. I very hope Yahama fix that problem.

Curious to know, what were the fancy wheels to which you are referring to and what went wrong with them? I installed Kimpex brand wheels.
