Well it's time for me to change out some of the stock idlers, on my 07 Attak GT. I've not had any issues other than repacking them a few times in 5000 + miles, but the seals are not holding in the grease well enough anymore. I read a bunch of posts on what some of the guys have changed too, i.e. Skidoo/Polaris/Kimpex/RX1 etc, but I'm not quite sure what the final outcome was? I am changing to a fully clipped track, and realize I may need to go to a larger dia wheel to help with low snow conditions.

Could anyone provide the part #'s for the wheels I can go with where I do not need to do machining or make any changes to the brackets or mounts.

Cheers

check out the FAQ sticky at the top of the this forum. I ordered the doo wheels for mine. Should be here by the end of the week.

There is no final outcome, make your own informed decision.

Once your stock wheels wear out, it's time to get some swanky Billet wheels with replaceable bearings to replace them with!!!!

I will be doing a write-up in about a week on my entire skid makeover.....just waiting to get it all back together.

bottom line is....

-larger wheels(135mm) help cure slider/heat/clip issues
-larger wheels require 2 bolt mounts IMO
-Billet with lifetime warrantee is my cure for rubber issues
-I have posted the part numbers many times, and will do it again in my write-up.

Watching for the answers on this one as well....

This topic seems to have replaced handwarmers as the hot topic!

Nice Video Pic there SKIP OH CANADA SHES SMOKIN !

Thanks for the reply's.

I heard that billet wheels are not as robust as plastic, and may deform, or break under hard riding.

that is why i said lifetime warranty billets....i spoke with tricked toys at the sled show and was assured their wheels will hold up...when you see someone like Bill Cudney has been running Billet wheels for 10,000K or maybe more, you gotta figure these things are tough.....if not they are warranted.

beats replacing idlers year after year due to rubber chunking off.
