If 05 skid breaks after 06 updates, is it still warranteed?

Yamaha will not update an 05 to 06 - or any part unless you have breakage or have a dealer that might "fix" things for you.

track rubbing

If it's your 3rd time I would say you need to tell you dealer you will not take anything but the 06 rails with the reinforcements! If you don't get anywhere you need to call Yamaha customer relations. Once I talked to them my dealer called me back within hours telling me new parts were on the way.
My track is wearing right down the center. This is my second track doing the same thing. I have plenty of clearance between the shock and the track when the sled is sitting on the ground. I am thinking the track is stretching as it wears in and then ballooning into the shock on either acceleration or deceleration. I will have to tighten and see if that helps. I just like to try and run it a shade loose due to the hyfax wear, but since I started running the Polaris 5.35 wheels that seems to have helped on the hyfax a lot.

Check to make sure your track isn't rubbing on the transfer rod. Sometimes they bend or break and they'll rub on the track.

warranty

Got back from dearler today and yes it was waranteed. They installed new w-arm last fall, and now they put new transfer rod (it was broken), and new rails with reinforcements. (They were cracked). Was very happy. Service from Roger's Sport Center in Fort Kent is second to none.
