I was at one of my local dealers the other day and was checking out the new batch of sleds on display. To my suprize I sat on the Arctic Cat HCR 800.......wow.....thats one nice machine, I own a 06 F7 and this thing is far from it. The rider position was way better then my F7, not as good as the Nytro but good. The adjustable riser on those sleds is perfect and easy to use and the thing looks amazing, I was very suprized by the fit and finish of the AC, much better then the past. It had nice boards on it whe seat was killer and the track and tunnel look almost aftermarket. The one cool thing I noticed is they have no outer rear idlers but have (4) iners with about .5 of inch spacing. Although I don't know if I could deal with the fuel/oil consumption, I would not rule that sled out if I was in the market.

The other sled they had there was a 146 Summit X 800, what a cool looking sled with the black tunnel and burnt orange color scheme, also a very nice sled, though if I had to buy a Doo I would buy the BackCountry edition instead but regaurdless there is some competition out there and I would not turn down the chance to to logg some miles if the chance were to arrive.

BUT...........................knowing that I am seated on a very reliable sled and oil and plugs are a thing of the past makes me happy that I own a Nytro/Yamaha, it is a blast to ride and has unmatched TQ with great driver ergo's and a 4 year warranty. I guess that I am happy with my sled and knowing it will take boost and make stupid power with good reliability is a plus. But if I had a endless bank account I would be making room for those two sleds in a heartbeat, then it would be interesting on witch one racked up the most miles.

Still blue for now!

Cant say anything bad about the cat but if you were to purchase the Doo I would give Bill Cudney a call and stock up on pistons and rings cuz you would need em. :yam:

the cat rocks but useless in wisconsin...
