Well I am getting my sled ready for my next trip North and decided to throw a new belt on because the other one was starting to sit pretty low in the secondary sheave. When I put the new belt on I started the sled and the track spins, I am not sure if it is because the belt is brand new and needs to wear down a bit? I was just curious if this is normal because when the sleds on the ground it doesn't roll I just don't want to smoke the new belt.

A proper clutching setup will have the track creeping when in the air while the sled idles. This is correct as mentioned above!

If the track is creeping it will be ok, get things warmed up and check again. If your belt starts squealing you need to adjust your secondary by taking out the small washers from the backside 8mm head bolts that are there.
remove shims or change the ratio of thick/thin to open up the secondary. 3 bolts on the back side of the sheave. M10 i believe, and a ratched wrench helps.

yes..you need to open the secondary..a tich..
correct feel..is ...you should ...just..be able to spin the belt on the sheaves by hand..

x2 You will see some track creep when elevated of the floor.
