installing a 1.75 track into the nytro?

I just ride the northern wi. trails so i would want something that will hook up and last a few miles.

I do not know about your trail conditions, but my recommendation would be the Back Country 1.75". At least if your conditions are somewhat close to my conditions with a 50/50 distribution between trail and off trail. I have got close to 10000 kilometers on two different Back Country tracks during the last two seasons. No durability issues at all and also no hyfax wear issues. Do not forget that the Back Country will humiliate all shorter lug tracks as soon as you leave the trail...

I would have to agree with Alatalo, I ran my 1.75 backcountry almost 2500 miles this year and it looks almost like new, And most of those miles were on trails in the U.P. ,(only one trip out west), I do have the good ice scratchers , and they make all the difference in the world. With-out them hy-fax wear was a issue, once you put on the scratchers it is no longer a issue.

Not trying to get off topic, but how to you keep the scratchers from flipping over when you get a little air? I put some on the skis of my nytro and they worked great, but when I started driving fast and doing a little flying they would flip forward then I'd have to stop and tip the sled on its side to get them back. Unless they install different on the rails...?

I can't remember the brand that I have. It is the type that look like a heavy electric cable with a 90 degree hook on the end. I have them bolted on the the very front of the rail, so I don't have any problems like you are talking about and you can back up with them and they don't catch. I started out with a set that were like a little wire that would be on a hay rake. they just bend up and are junk the first time you forget about them and back up with out locking them up.

oh yeah, sidekicks, or slidekicks... i thought about trying a pair of those but never got around too it. I figured before I spent that much money I could make my own that would work with reverse

Thanks.

I know this is a older forum. Hopefully i'll get a response. With the 1.75 backcountry, it was said the front protectors and top protectors need to be removed. But my headpipe collector is pretty much flush with the bottom of my protectors.Any knowledge of if there will be clearance issue's with that?

I have run the 1.75 for 5 seasons no with no issues.

Thanks, i'll throw one on and try it then.

Running the stock gear ratio, but I do have a S/C on the Nytro. See very little difference between my 2 - 2011 Apexs, the wifes sled with the stock track may be just a little faster, but I really like the 1.75 for getting off trail.
