I've been looking at EZ Ryde skids. My Tunnel on the Attak is extended to 144", so I'm thinking a 144" EX Ryde would be nice.

can I use my same front mounting holes as the Mono skid? Then find appropriate drop brackets and get holes drilled for the rear mounts?

I have sent an email to EZ Ryde themselves, but received no response as of yet.

Thx in advance.

I moved it back 3 1/4" back I think. I used some timber drop brackets.

If the EZ Ryde doesn't have to go down, could I use the same front mounting holes and then move the rear holes forward a tad?

As you can see, I am really, really trying to get out of drilling new front holes. That is because I have tunnel stiffeners in place in that area that really prohibit me from moving the holes down or back.....

Thx Apex06!

I just don't remember if I moved it down at all its been a long time. Lol I think I still have the notes on it somewhere in the shop. But I know I drilled new holes. This was also on a MTX 163"

The likely hood of any suspension working in the same holes are very slim.
You dont want a 144" mono with a mega float? Set up right I think that would be a nice set up.

Otherwise go ZX2 (new holes) you wont regret it, I'll never go back to metal skid again, the EZryde is unproven on groomed trail midwest riding even though it sounds like your wanting a off trail machine you know as well as I do you will be in mogualed out trails with it. Plus the EZ ryde is big bucks.

The Mono stretched to 144" is most likely where I'll be going here -- either with new 144" rails or rail extensions from 136" to 144". I'll use the sled as a cross over, both off trail and on. I've heard really good things about the EZ Ryde and a few others, like ZX2 and M20 Airwave. But stretched Mono is most likely where i'll stay.

And speaking about the MegaFloat, TeamFAST has a new tunnel mounted air compressor system for Apexes with the Mega Float called the TeamFAST COMPAC system. It's like Ulmer's, but they claim it will be an on the fly system for raising or lowering PSI in the Mega Float with the flip of a switch.

This may just be the long term solution!

Yes the on board compressor from ulmer with a mega float intriques me. If they can prove they hold up, it will be a nice lightweight suspension and ride like a caddy when ya want and not bottom out when you get into the chop.

I have a ohlins EC mono sitting on the shelf in case I get tempted, excel wheels, beef up kit, tip up extensions, mega float, and compressor kit. Not cheap but still cheaper then EZ ryde.
