I would appreciate any info from Yamahaheads in northern Min, and Ontario Can. Next season my Nytro riding bud and I would like to ride from Ashland, Wis west past Duluth, then north into Canada...around Lake Superior, down thru Sault Ste Marie, then across the U.P. back to Ashland. We have passports. How do you ride a sled across the border?

You can apply for a CanPass. This will help you cross at remote locations.

You need to talk to Mikey for getting around ThunderBay. Trails may open there soon but for now they are closed.

make sure you check around the thunder bay area well before you try this. their trails are limited, and you may have to trailer around some areas. they have some land use issues and sometimes the trails are not usable.
also alot of the area north of the lake (superior) takes awhile to get rideable (read, groomable) snow. dont try this early in the year, this is a mid to mid/late season effort, when the snow is at it's peak depth.
