So i got a used Apex that has a newer Ripsaw track with 192 studs. I'm not a fan of long studs and was wondering if it made more sense to buy a non studded track I want and sell the RipSaw track with studs separately or just pull all of the studs out and keep the track? I know for sure one of the studs has pulled itself out already..
Would I get full use of the used track with studs removed vs selling the track with studs installed and buying a new track I want..

if you got the money, put a new track on, i don't think it will hurt anything if you take the studs out though

I say sell the track with studs and get a new track.
It sure would be a pain removing all them studs...plus you get the bonus of choosing a track that you want to have.

There is no issue with safety when you remove the steel. The track will hold up just fine with them removed.
That being said, we call it ripjunk for a reason
Get something like a predator.

sell with studs. i pulled my studs when i changed tracks. i had 3-4 calls when i tried to sell the ripjunk... did not sell because everybody wanted track with studs. although i saved alot by not buying new studs.

pull the studs and sell the track without the studs. 192 studs is about 350-400 bucks.

if studs were such a big issue why did you buy an apex that was studded? you must have gotten a good deal on it

Ya that's what I sold my 136" for with a 192 studs....I got 350 for it. But I also didn't have any that ripped out either. Which might hurt you.

I got a great deal on it, mint 2006 Apex GT with 4k miles for $5,000
I'm not a fan of long studs, I'm just worried about tunnel damage. I do like the fact that it helps on ice (I tow my portable ice shelter) that's why I'd replace it with an Camoplast Ice Ripper track. The Ripsaw track that came with the sled only has a couple hundred miles on it, the studs are about 1/4 -1/2 inch longer than the Ripsaw treads..
