I've posted up my 03 RX1 Turbo for sale and have gotten NO interest..
RX1 ER 3200 miles
Bender Stage 2 turbo w/upgrades (oil, air filter)
Billet carb caps
Billet T's
Pioneer front springs
Camoplast 1" track with 192 studs
Whal extrovert drivers
Autometer boost gauge.
Tuned on a wideband-simply jump on, adjust boost for the octane level and enjoy.
7000 firm
Is this unreasonable to ask?!

Have you tried listing it on Ebay?
Have you tried you local Bargain news or trader magazine?
As big as this great community of Yamaha enthusiasts is, it is but a drop of water in a lake of possible customers.
Most of the guys who hang out here already have turbo or supercharged sleds or have sleds and want to buy a supercharger or turbo for they're existing sled.
Timing is everything you have to be selling when someone is looking or your out.
After you sell it you will get 10 more guys wanting to buy it, that is just how it goes.
Good Luck that is a great deal for someone.

Part of the problem could be as follows;
People think in general that a 5 year old driveable something is worth no more than 40% of new.[This comes from resids on lease cars etc that most of us are aware of]
So 03 RX1 approx $9,000 new x 40% = $3,600. Turbo approx $5,000 x 40% = $2,000 . Add the two together equals $5,600 not $7,000 so they may think your price is high.
Market is small for this type of modified item. Many people shy away due to what they have read here re cracking pipes and there worries as to whether the motor may have been stressed with all the extra power a stage 2 is known to make, etc, etc.
Personally I think your price is reasonable for what you are selling, but you are probablly gonna take a while to sell it.
As Ted said, get the word out.

Your price is not off but many will shy away from a used turbo for fear of abuse by originalm owner. Easiest to sell to someone that knows you or your sled.

Just bought a silver 03 rx-1 Bender stage one turbo. Holz rear, MPI tunnel with drop and roll., antiratchets, powder pros, boodocker NOS, 162 in attack 20, lightweight a-arms, 1800 miles, $6250. It's the time of year

Thats why I parted mine out, just no market for the whole sled, nobody wants to spend that kind of money on a used sled, I know a guy just tried to sell his diamond S chassised TRX1 on ebay starting bid was $15000 he paid $35000 for it he couldn,t get any bites at $15000.
travis, I parted mine out for thousands over what I was willing to give it away for.

Paid cash for my '07 RTX, 136 it, lefty, rox risers, powder hounds, clutch kit...and still going and going and going.. I have another 1000 to go to drop in my sled from what I got parting mine out.
10 times nicer sled then the '03
